Weight Loss Programs for Men Review

Weight Loss Programs for Men - Possible To Lose 9 Pounds in 11 Days?

Weight loss programs for men kinda seem like a joke to a lot of women. As losing extra weight goes, men get zero sympathy from women. However because of men's higher metabolism and muscle mass they seem to lose weight more quickly. Also they have the added advantage of not enduring the monthly hormone imbalances that women have, especially during pregnancy(which drives a lot of women to eat). Also, men don't tend to be driven to eat when in an emotional state (maybe a cocktail or two instead). This is why, and is easy to see, that most of the biggest diet plans programs are geared to and feature women. Where are the weight loss programs for men?

Women are brought up being taught "to be thin is to be attractive". Most diets are designed to attract women. Fresh salads, sugarless sweets, low fat foods, but where is the meat? Where is the beer? Where are the weight loss programs for men?

On the other hand, a lot of men get in to dieting later in life because of health concerns. Some of these concerns could be hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, or even a heart attack. All these health related issues and the want to look better are a common reasons for men to jump in to a weight loss program for men. They are much less likely to join the classic weight loss programs (like Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, or Weight Watchers) because again, they are all geared towards women. What guy wants to show up to a "weight loss weigh in" with one of those companies and be the only guy standing there? HELLO?!
I have personally tried a few of the bigger diet and weight loss companies like Nutrisystem and Weight

Watchers and can tell you that I did see some success. However they are very strict in the preparation and logging. Basically it takes a lot of time and money (usually AT LEAST $300 a month) to be a part of these programs.

I seriously just couldn't afford it anymore and decided that if I could do it with them I could do it on my own and I HAVE! They all teach the same thing "portion control". At first that may sound like you are going to have to cut out all the delicious things out of your diet but THIS COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! I hate spending ridiculous money on someone spoon feeding me like a child. There is a simpler and MUCH MUCH cheaper way to do this and you won't believe this, but it actually involves eating MORE food.

I know it may sound ridiculous that eating more can make you lose more. I dare you, no I DOUBLE DARE YOU to do your own research and prove me wrong. Once you have, come back and check out this weight loss program for men (and women too!!) It is going to blow your mind. If you are looking for a great weight loss program for men or women, this is a WAAAY cheaper way to go and well worth it.

Nutrition and Weight Loss: What You Need to Know

If you are looking to lose weight, then you should know that there is much more to the matter overall then just you losing weight; nutrition is an incredibly serious matter, and you really need to include it into any form of weight loss plan or diet that you take on. After all, there is really no point to losing weight if you are losing nutrition, and you need to know this.

Nutrition and Weight Loss

Nutrition and weight loss are two matters which are really helplessly correlated, and in order for you to lose weight, gain muscle, and be healthy overall, you need to make sure that you truly and fully realize this correlation. Nutrition and weight loss really do go hand in hand, and so if you want to start a diet or focus more on your nutrition perhaps, then you need to first understand that one will come with the other.

Nutrition and weight loss are two subjects that are of incredible popularity in regards to the world that we live in today, and this is for several different reasons in particular; primarily, this is due to the fact that the idea of beauty in general has changed almost unbelievably in comparison even to that of only a decade or two ago.

For instance, if you consider the number of people today that have plastic surgery done than compared to that of forty years ago, you will see the point because the difference in percentage is quite astounding.

Nutrition and Weight Loss: Pointers

There are several pointers in particular in regards to this subject that you should remember. For one, know that everyone is different and so what works for one person will not necessarily work as good or at all for that matter for someone else. Thus, you need to find a good personal trainer, and as well you need to speak regularly with your physician, so that you have people with you and behind you and so that you can all work together and come up with the best plan for you in particular.

After all, there may be medical issues that you have that will prevent you from becoming involved in certain activities, or perhaps you will be told that you should not lose any more weight but rather gain more muscle mass; whatever it is, you need to know yourself and your body before you go on any type of diet.

Cosmetic Surgery and Body Contouring After Major Weight Loss

If you have lost a substantial amount of weight through bariatric surgeries or other means, you may be thrilled with your new figure, but at a loss as to what to do about the excess skin on your abdomen, arms and legs.

Many people have turned to the cosmetic surgery procedure of body contouring (which can include liposuction too) to remove the excess skin. In fact, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, body contouring procedures increased in 2010 (from the previous year) due to the many people who have had massive weight loss.

There are different types of body contouring surgeries and what someone chooses depends entirely on their needs. Outlined below are the most popular procedures:

Abdomen Liposuction and Abdomen Skin Removal: If there are bulges (often people have the hardest time losing the "muffin top" at the waistline) that still exist, the physician can treat the area with liposuction. Excess skin can be surgically excised from the stomach area to create a flatter abdomen. If there is not a lot of extra skin, a small excision can be done at the upper edge of the pubic hair (similar to a C-section scar). If there is a larger amount of skin to be removed, the incision may be from hip to hip and the surgeon may also sew together the abdominal muscles to further flatten the abdomen. This procedure is popularly known as a "tummy tuck".

Arm Liposuction and Arm Skin Removal: Especially after a significant weight loss, many people are left with an extra amount of skin that hangs down from the upper arm. If there is any excess fat, the surgeon may choose to remove it with liposuction. To give the arm a "tighter" appearance, the excess skin is surgically removed and the scar will be placed on the inside of the arm, invisible from the front or back of the arm. If there is a smaller amount of skin to be removed, the scar can be confined to, or near, the armpit, with minimal or no scar visibility.

Thigh Liposuction and Thigh Skin Removal: If you have lost major weight, but still have bulky outer thighs (commonly referred to as "saddlebags") or inner thighs, these can be contoured through liposuction. Skin removal may be necessary, most often for the inner thighs, and this can be done with the incision hidden in the groin and upper thigh area.

These surgeries can be performed together or separately. Although most health insurance policies do not cover body contouring and liposuction procedures, many people view it as a "reward" for achieving their major weight loss goals.
